In the Wake of Luciana's 2014 visit:

Well, she's gone again -- off to New Haven and then back to Buenos Aires. She leaves behind in Portland a cadre of new and newly re-energized fans.  Many of us are now working to really incorporate, in private lessons and/or with practice partners,  some of the concepts she presented.  Now, a month after her time with us, folks are still approaching me to say how much they learned from her.

Thank you to all who came from all four directions to attend her offerings.  All but one of the workshops were fully booked; she taught as many private lessons as she had the stamina for (and she is a woman of prodigious stamina -- even  at 4 months pregnant!); and she really enjoyed your enthusiasm and participation.

I am packing in this blog until next time -- probably 2016, but ya never know for sure.  Be well; have fun; dance your heart.

A Few Choice Spots Available in Luciana's Workshops

We got off to a great start this evening with Luciana's opening workshop --

a role-balanced class of folks intently working on axis, pushing thru the foot,

leg extension, staying connected regardless of the direction of movement,

propelling, and so much more.

It was a fun to see so many experienced dancers

in attendance at this "Beginners and above" workshop, 

the ones who know that fundamentals are exactly that -- crucial!

And are impressed again by what a good teacher she is.

If you want to get in on the fun,  it might not be too late for you.

(As I've been trying to get this posting out,

the remaining Sat openings and a few Sunday spots have been taken!)

MINI-SPECIALS are one of the very best ways to get lots of bang for your buck with a visiting tango hotshot. The idea is to put together your own group of 4 leaders and 4 followers -- folks at about your own tango level. Choose any topic you'd all like to work on (the cross? connection? colgadas? Int/Advanced women leading?) and get Luciana's help with it for 1.5 hours. It costs $35/person (+ $12 floor fee fm the group). You'll get lots of hands on, individualized attention. And you'll have a group of mates with whom to review and practice when she's long-gone!
The Mon eve option for a Mini has filled, but if you can put together a group who can do a Mini during Luciana's private lesson hours, that'll work!

PRIVATE LESSONS:  
Luciana will be available for private & semi-private lessons at $110/hour (+ $10/hr floor fee).

REFUNDS:  Refunds were available until April 1st.  Now, if you cancel before the event, you can get your money back if somebody on the wait-list signs up and pays for the slot you are releasing.

If what you want is sold out, please ASK ME TO PUT YOU ON THE WAIT-LIST.  It often happens that there are cancellations and/or no-shows, so if I have your name and a cell phone #, you could still get what want!  If you are on the Waitlist, you do not have to pre-pay, and there is no obligation to take the space if it opens up.  It just gives you options.  Options are near and dear to the tango dancer's heart, yes?   :-)
